Stephan Czypionka is the Business Unit Marketing Director. In this role he leads the Southern and East Africa System in the development and execution of marketing, business strategies and integrated programmes that maximize profitable revenue growth and increase the long-term value of our brands.

Stephan is a global marketing executive with over 19 years of a highly successful track record both in FMCG and in telecoms, and extensive multi-country experience in Europe, Latin America and Asia.

He joined the company in 2005 in Vienna, Austria, as a Senior Brand Manager, Coca-Cola Alpine where he drove volume and value performance of the brand Coca-Cola as well as Coke Light and Coke Zero. He then became the Marketing Manager, Flavours in the Alpine and Adriatic BU in 2009, still based in Vienna, where he developed strong business plans and brand programmes, and managed the implementation of these programmes across nine countries in Central and South-East Europe. 

Stephan then went on an international assignment as the Brand Director, Flavours in the South Latin BU in 2010. He thereafter, moved on to be the Marketing Director, Coca-Cola Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay in 2013, where he led the marketing organisation across three regions. In 2015 he was appointed Marketing Director, Coca-Cola Philippines, where he led the marketing organisation for the biggest ASEAN market.

Stephan holds a Master’s in International Business Administration from University of Vienna, where as part of his degree, he earned an Erasmus Scholarship for an exchange year in Autónoma University, Madrid. He also holds an MBA from Polytechnic University of Madrid. Stephan is tri-lingual – speaking German, Spanish and English.
