These awards are as a result of the annual Sunday Times Top Brands Survey which is commissioned by Sunday Times and is now in its 16th year. The survey, involving 3,500 interviews, gauges consumer sentiment towards brands, and delivers valuable insights to business leaders and marketers in South Africa.

During the ceremony, Sharon Keith, Marketing Director of Coca-Cola South Africa commented that "Consumer feedback is crucial for us to keep in touch with our consumers. This award lets us know that we are on the right track. Coca-Cola touches the lives of millions of people each and every day and we are pleased to not only receive appreciation for our product offering but to be recognised for our efforts to bring happiness to communities across the country."
