Owerri, Nigeria, November 2015: Last week, an ordinary day suddenly turned extraordinary in Government Secondary School, Owerri, as a visit from beverage giant
There was so much excitement in Government Secondary School, Owerri, as the Coke Studio Bus drove into the school premises. So many students indicated their willingness to get opportunity to have their song recorded in the mobile studio. Eventually, 10 students were selected from senior secondary school (SSS) 1 to senior secondary school (SSS) 3 respectively, for auditioning.
After a transparent audition process, the best 4 talented students were selected to enter the Coke Studio Bus, where they got a session with the producer, who took the young stars through a grinding, yet fun time in the studio.
The Coke Studio producer mixed their beats, and the students expressed how pleased they were after the songs were completed. They were stunned as they listened to their various songs.
One of the students, Onyegbule Chukwuka said, “I could not even believe it was my voice that was playing, after the recording. It is a beautiful experience, and it makes me want to get better at whatever I do. The producer made my music better that means every other thing I do can get better.”

I believe this is going to bring out the best in them. They will want to excel and do what they know well; those who are inclined to art, science, music and various endeavours of life and it will bring the best of our students, academically, socially and even morally.
