To supplement the original version, Coca-Cola invited artists from various countries across the African continent to create unique local versions of this same anthem, giving fans the chance to celebrate their passion for football through music. Artists include Lizha James from Mozambique, Sami Dan from Ethiopia, Cassper Nyovest from SA, Diamond Platnumz for Tanzania and Kenya, and Y Kee Benda from Uganda.

Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania has been part of Coke Studio from the start. He is a powerful vocalist.  His pure passion for making music that’s winning over the world, making him the most successful artist to come out of East Africa. He is best known for his hit song 'Number One'. In 2016 he collaborated with Cassper Nyovest at Coke Studio for the banger ‘My Heart’.

The hit maker from South Africa, Cassper Nyovest, got the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles to record with Derulo.  "Working with Jason Derulo was mad cool,’ he said ‘because he's a pop artist and I'm a rap artist and it's two different worlds coming together. In South Africa, we've got so many different backgrounds, and so we put all our colours and everything we could have thought of into it and it turned out great."

Another addition to the collaboration is an exciting and upcoming act from Uganda, Ykee Benda who made his debut on Coke Studio Africa in 2017 in the Big Break Segment collaborating with Jah Prayzah (Zimbabwe) and Mr Bow (Mozambique). The contribution of the singer Lizha James to the Mozambican version of the anthem resulted in a truly local melody, with local expressions that give the anthem a very strong Mozambican identity that the public will surely be proud of.
